At the heart of Meira Rauta’s art is jewelry. "I am a jewelry designer and goldsmithing artesan by training and a jewelry artist by heart" Rauta describes herself. Design background is reflected in her minimalist geometric small series jewelry, while her artwork is often more organic. She is fascinated by the effect of the body connection: a piece alone on its stand may be perceived as a sculptural object and not as a jewelry until it has some kind of connection to the body. A good example of this is her work 'Aloe'. Rauta has been making jewelry since 2008 and she has works in the Finnish State Art Collection and the collections of the Finnish Watch and Jewelry Museum Kruunu as well as private collectors.

Rauta participated in Milano Jewelry Week, Artistar Jewels Exhibition in October 2024, where she received 'Artistar Jewels Network' award.
